VIJAYNAGARA EMPIRE
The vijaynagara empire was established by Harihara and Bukka in 1936 beside tungabhadra . The vijaynagar dynasty was ruled by four dynasties Sangama , Saluva , Tuluva , Aravidu. During its peak it extent from krishna tungbhadra basin in north to whole southern peninsula. POLITICAL HISTORY Harihara I , was the first ruler of the sanagam dynasty. An inscription dated 1346 regarding a grant to the sringeri matha describes harihara I as the ruler of the " while country between the eastern and western seas " and vidya nagar ( the city of learning) as his capital . It lasted until 1646 . Although it's power declined after its capital city of vijaynagar, whose ruins surround present day Hampi , now a world heritage site in karnataka. GOVERNMENCE & ADMINISTRATION The efficient administration and vigorous overseas trade brought new technologies to the region such as water management system for irrigation.
